Hal has developed his own original style of playing solo on the pedal steel guitar, more influenced by pianists, horn players and guitarists than by those who play his instrument. Very few pedal steel guitarists venture into solo performance, and none share Hal’s uniqueness and originality. This is something you truly must see to fully appreciate. There is really nothing else like this on our planet.
